Carving creates deep veins
in this nearly 3 1/2" long possibly Bakelite Brooch.
Does not test positive
with simichrome, however it looks like Bakelite. You are buying
it as plastic.
Pin back safety clasp is
glued and looks original.
Very good vintage condition
with a couple of light scratches... nothing major. VERY cool!

(almost imperceptible) Bakelite pair of rings.
Worn together, the width
of the set is slightly over 1/4".
Walls are 1/16" thick.
Approximate ring size is
5.5 to 6. I wear a 6.5 on my ring finger & these are a bit
too small.

- "Carved" chunky Lucite turtle
brooch is a real treasure!
- Features deeply carved details on the
front & under carved shell. Green coloring on back for the
shell & feet with a red hat. Eye appears to be painted on
the front.
- Turtle measures over 3" wide &
is nearly 2" tall.
- Very good vintage condition with a little
roughage picked up by the camera but not seen with naked eye.
I have not polished this piece but could use a light cleaning.
- Overall excellent with EMBEDDED pin back.
